I wouldn't say I'm anti-natalist, although I do think that philosophy should be considered. And as I lay out in Losing My Religions, I should have never been born.
A key point I try hard to make in Losing is that our genes, our family, and our society do not want our personal happiness. I hope that some of the people who read Losing feel less pressure to reproduce, and if they do, it is only because they actively want to bring another person into the world and are able to provide that child with a good life no matter what happens.
