Anne and I were sitting on the balcony of the Airbnb in Silverthorn, CO, looking at the mountain in front of us that is so tall it has a lot above the tree line. No roads go near it. Then we saw a white dot moving in front of it. It was a parasailer! They must have hiked up all day to jump off at sunset. Then another joined!
It seemed crazy. I was texting our pal Kari that we were watching two people commit suicide right in front of us (well, dozens of miles away). They then went below the treeline between them and us, but there was no news the next morning of deaths in the area.
