Why One Step for Animals

One of the bits of feedback we receive is that the "half-measures" of One Step for Animals aren't needed because everyone is going vegan! Unfortunately, I've heard that ever since I went vegan 30+ years ago (and talk about more in the chapter "The End of Veganism" in Losing My Religions). 

And every year, the average person in the United States eats more factory-farmed animals than ever.

This holiday season brings this tidbit:

"41% of those who say they follow a vegetarian, pescatarian or vegan diet said they will eat turkey on Thanksgiving."
