"✈️Matthew you forgot something…"

Bill Deasy - "Now That I Know What It Means"

Betcha haven't heard this one. Vid had only 18 views when I played it.

By playing the points and miles game, Anne and I booked the above two business-class tickets for 85,000 Chase points (total, via Avios) and a few hundred dollars for fuel surcharges. This is a few weeks after we booked Premium Plus tickets to Florence, Italy for 80k points (40k each).

The 80k was exactly the sign-up bonus for the Chase Sapphire card I got. I referred Anne (and got 15k more points for that), and Anne then got 80k for her Sapphire card. We only did our normal spend, so we are flying in luxury for super-cheap (at least monetarily; I've put in much time into learning the game - probably too much time, honestly).

Up until we fly out next May, the most luxurious flight we'll have ever taken together was the exit row on Southwest. (Flying alone to Germany, Anne was once upgraded to First Class so the airline could show off the beauty of their flight.)

Our main goal with points is to someday be able to visit New Zealand (and Australia to see Vincent) via Biz Class, as I don't think my back and neck could take that flight in cattle class.

NOTE: If you would like to apply for a card (even a cash-back card), please let me know (mattballaz at gmail.com) and I can potentially give you a referral link that will help us out at no cost to you. Also check out TravelFreely for more info on this "hobby." Thanks!
