Weekend Perfection: The Caution Horses

For a while, I've wanted to do a series on albums l consider to be perfect. So let's start.

Although mentioned in Losing My Religions, Cowboy Junkies are not as famous as they should be. "The Caution Horses" is pretty much a perfect album. (You will need higher-quality sound files and excellent speakers to get the full effect of how well it is recorded.)

"Sun Comes Up, It's Tuesday Morning" and "'Cause Cheap Is How I Feel" are the most famous, and both tell great stories. But "Rock and Bird" is my favorite from the album.

Can't get enough? Here they revisit their album "The Trinity Sessions" with the great Natalie Merchant (and Vic Chestnutt).
