The afterlife and relative certainty

Dueling songs! Which do you prefer?

Green Day "Whatsername"
great composition. Makes me jump up and down.

Marcus Roberts* with Wynton Marsalis on trumpet as "E. Dankworth,"

*Who we saw in concert on the day of our marriage.

The obvious loss in Losing My Religions is belief in any god(s). But as I mention, it is well-nigh impossible to be a "Level 7" atheist, as it is basically impossible to prove a negative (i.e., prove that there are no gods).

For example, it is possible that we are living in a simulation. (Which Yuval Noah Harari and I note would be unfathomably immoral.) Maybe after we die in the simulation, we are allowed to literally meet our maker.

I would easily bet my life [sic] that we aren't in a simulation. (And I do live my life assuming that death is the absolute end.) But I can't be absolutely certain. Just like I can't really be 100% certain about most things. However, I think modesty about what we know is appropriate.

OK, I am sure my wife is quite a dish.
Hope the afterlife is just time with her.
