My sister sent me an article about how developing a habit of gratitude can help rewire your brain (more here). My mindfulness practice seems to be fighting my increasing old-man-crankitude to a standoff (at best), so we've implemented a practice where at 5 pm every day, Anne and I (and EK when here) tell each other three things for which we are grateful.
Seems like a good practice so far! Aspects of modern medicine have been mentioned multiple times.
