One of the ironic things is that just about every rich person would be much richer if the Supreme Court had ruled for Gore or if the Electoral College hadn't undermined the popular vote for Hillary. But yes, I understand that many people are more concerned with relative wealth - they would rather be personally worse off than see someone "undeserving" [sic] do better.
